VILLAGE WILL CONSIDER BUILDING A PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE FOR PRAIRIE PATH

Trustees have taken action to improve the Prairie Path.

The Village Board created an ad hoc task force last week to study methods and funding for construction of a pedestrian bridge over Taylor Avenue. Currently, Prairie Path users must go down a steep grade to cross Taylor Avenue, which passes underneath the railroad tracks.

Former Trustee Ronald Rennard will chair the task force.

“We’ve had nothing but positive feedback about this project,” he said.
